Langston Junior Boys and Girls Golf Club (LJRGC) is teeing up its Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament, and we want you to be a part of it!
The outing will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2008 (rain date: Saturday, August 9, 2008) at the historic Langston Legacy Golf Course, located adjacent to the National Arboretum in Northeast Washington, DC. Proceeds from the fund raising event will support the organization’s scholarship program.
The Langston Junior Board of Directors inaugurated the scholarship program component in 2003. The program offers financial support to one or more graduating high school seniors who intend to pursue post-secondary studies. The scholarship program is funded through private gifts and grants as well as the proceeds from the annual outing. Scholarship awards are made annually at the Opening Ceremony for the Junior Golf Program. This year's ceremony will be held on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.
LJRGC is offering a variety of tournament sponsorship opportunities, and players of all levels are welcome to participate in the outing. Individual player fees are $100.00; twosome fees are $200.00 Participant fees include a ticket to the post-tournament awards reception.
